Hazy Winter Sun in the Melbourne Hinterland

            As I've said elsewhere, Australia's mountains, though once huge in many cases, are ancient and worn down.  Some are still rugged, but most have eroded from grandeur to mere prettiness.

On Mount Riddell, Healesville, Victoria.  The distant prominence is Mount St Leonard, on top of which is a lookout tower which has been resolved in this image.
