Soft Pedal Sustained - a photo on Flickriver

A companion image to the earlier upload, Soft Pedal.

Because I could not get the camera position and aperture exactly where I wanted, the results from this session deviated from preconceptions more than any of my others with these feet. As a result, the photos were partly "reshot" as it were, in post-processing. The lighting was predominantly backlight from a window, but there was some secondary internal lighting as well.

Underfoot is a beautiful vintage Persian Farahan rug.

A reflection of toes and rug can just be seen in the polished brass sustaining pedal. (See detail Brass Pedal Reflections).
