            Locomotive, “Beatrice”, built by the Hunslet Engine Company Ltd, Leeds, in 1945, is seen here, at Ackton Hall Colliery, on 15/06/1967.

Built by Hunslet Engine Company Ltd, Leeds, to Works No.2705, in 1945, for the Ackton Hall Colliery Company Ltd, and delivered, new, to their Ackton Hall Colliery, and named, “Beatrice”. The locomotive was returned to Hunslet Engine Company Ltd, Leeds, for repairs, and for the fitting of a mechanical stoker, circa October 1963, being returned back, to Ackton Hall Colliery, circa August 1964, (Works No.HE.59223/1964). The locomotive was sold, into preservation, at the Yorkshire Dales Railway, Embsay, North Yorkshire, on 10/10/1977.
