Blue and ex-Blue

            On 7/16/25, QCHCSSE dragged in a very nice pair of locomotives. 2nd out behind BNSF #5833 was MRL #4314, an EMD SD70ACe, and right behind that was BCOL #4647, a C44-9W with teardrop windshield and a cab-mounted bell, making for quite the colorful consist. On arrival to South Seattle Yard, the three locomotives were then coupled to BNSF #7640 and #7756 before leaving later that night with the QSSECHC. Somewhere on the east side of the Cascades, MRL #4314 was taken off the outbound Q and attached to the westbound SLPCSEF, returning to Seattle, this time without BCOL #4647.

 If only #4647 still wore BC Rail blue!
