Burning Love. From The Sacred Isle Series.

When the Holy Spirit visits
Everything is aflame before your eyes
The bushes still burn
Like they did for Moses
But are not reduced to ash
For they are afire with glory
Of a quite different kind
All of nature is exalted
And it is as if your feet
Do not touch the ground
The air is the song
And you are one of the notes
The sound is transcendent
An unknown melody
That you want to hear all your life
There is no separate self
You have become pure energy
Part of the covenant of creation
That each of us brings to the story
Of a Genesis reborn and alight

There are times when a hush descends with the evening, and you become aware that you are part of a much larger creation, that is infinite. This can have the effect of making us feel incredibly small and vulnerable, or utterly exalted that we have the potential to join with this essence of primal nature. Either way, the experience of both of these emotions proves that our sentient being is responding to a greater force, and if we are wise we must treat this with the respect the creative drive that brought us into existence deserves.
