Album V, 66: Que li passà després, a en Karl Heinz?? / What happened to Karl Heinz?

Després de tasques tranquiles d'ocupació al nord de França, l'autor (Karl Heinz?) passà un hivern més estressant al front de Leningrad, però va tenir molta sort en passar-se el 1943 i bona part del 1944 a la tranquila ocupació de Dinamarca.

Però aquesta és la darrera foto d'ell i del album... i està datada pel 25 de setembre de 1944: encara quedaven quasi 8 mesos de guerra total per l'aniquilació del III Reich. A saber si el van canviar a un altre destí més sinistre, al front occidental contra angloamericans... o de nou al front de l'est davant els sovietics... No en sé res mes.

Aquest és un album militar d'un soldat alemany de la Wehrmacht, força ampli en l'espai i el temps: va del 1941 al 1944 (pocs arriben tant enllà) i ens mostra els seus moviments durant la guerra per França, Alemania, la URSS i Dinamarca. És especialment interessant per comptar amb nombroses anotacions, el que ajuda molt a contextualitzar totes les imatges.

After quiet occupation duties in northern France, the author (Karl Heinz?) spent a more stressful winter on the Leningrad front, but was very lucky to spend 1943 and much of 1944 in quiet occupation duties in Denmark

But this is the last photo of him and of the album... and it is dated September 25th, 1944: there were still almost 8 months of total war for the annihilation of the III Reich. Who knows if he was transported to another, more sinister destiny, on the western front against the Anglo-Americans... or again on the eastern front against the Soviets... I don't know anything else.

This is a military album of a German Wehrmacht soldier, quite wide in space and time: it goes from 1941 to 1944 (few go that far) and shows us his movements during the war through France, Germany, the USSR and Denmark . It is particularly interesting to have numerous annotations, which helps a lot to contextualize all the images.
