G-BLKA was one of a number of ex-Swiss Air Force Venoms imported into the UK in mid-1984 following the Swiss Air Force's auction of the type after retirement. It was the first of the batch to be restored to fly again on the UK airshow circuit, where it remained for another ten years or so. 
Like most of the Swiss aircraft it was painted in RAF colours, in this case accurately representing an aircraft from 6 Sqn during the Suez Crisis in 1956. It was also one of the very few Swiss Venoms to receive a replacement RAF-style nose cone (as opposed to the more pointed Swiss version), making it easily one of the more visually 'accurate' Venoms flying, at least for an RAF aircraft.
