Portrait of a Philosopher - a photo on Flickriver

            The stern, concentrated expression on the Blue Heron's face for some reason made me think of a philosopher. Perhaps it did in part because I've been reading the biography of a great thinker - St. Thomas Aquinas. Taken in the canyon along the Crooked River at Smith Rock State Park.
