25th January 2023 - A very small, and very faint C/2022 E3 between Ursa Major, Ursa Minor, and Draco

            Went up to Pudding Hill in Cannock Chase last night as the skies were so clear. The difference between shooting conditions was ridiculous. Usually, I'm in the back garden, contending with street lights, houses, and other light pollution (Stafford is a 6 on the Bortle Scale). Although Milford is only a 5 on the Bortle Scale, I couldn't get over how much more I could see.

As the C/2022 E3 comet starts to make it's closest approach, and although I don't have a tracker yet, I wanted to see if I could capture anything at all. This image was made by stacking 101 x 16sec exposures at 18mm, ISO 800, and f/4, and 30 dark frames in Starry Landscape Stacker.

You have to really REALLY zoom in, and it's the tiniest little green smudge of light, but it's there.
