Solway Sunset

            My recent trip to Cumbria was a tale of two halves.  I stayed near Aspatria to the north of the Lakes.  I ventured out into the mountains in the morning and down to the Solway Firth of an evening to catch sunset.  The stretch between Maryport and Silloth contains an estuary shoreline backed by sand dunes with good access all the way along.  A real popular spot of an evening for a stroll, all backed up by the distant Galloway Hills.  Nice of this couple to provide a focal point!
