            Le Lagopède des saules est l’un des rares oiseaux dont les pieds sont entièrement recouverts de plumes . C’est une adaptation à son environnement hivernal rigoureux . Cette caractéristique a inspiré son nom ( Lagopède ) , qui signifie ( pattes de lièvre ) . Il est un expert en camouflage et il change de couleur selon les saisons .

The Willow Ptarmigan is one of the rare birds whose feet are entirely covered in feathers . It is an adaptation to its extremely harsh winter environment . This characteristic inspired its name ( Lagopède ) , which means ( hare’s feet ) . He is an expert in camouflage and changes color depending on the seasons .
