Male Blue-faced Meadowhawk - a photo on Flickriver

            It seems like I see one of these in the same small area of the preserve every year. This one kept moving around to different plants and gave me a good session, only ended by a hiker who kindly was waiting to pass an idiot sitting in the middle of the narrow trail (me). I could hope for a better isolation of the subject, given f13 at this focal length, but it's OK. The lens did well at the relatively slow speed. Fortunately, the subject and plant held still long enough.
