Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service MST Rescue 1000

One of MFRS's Atlantic 75 B-class RIBs moored up outside the River Mersey Community Fire Station at the Pier Head, Liverpool.

Part of MFRS's Marine Rescue Unit this particular vessel was originally RNLI lifeboat B-791 'Gladys Winifred Tiffney' and based at Helensburgh Lifeboat Station in Scotland, providing cover for the River Clyde.

It is now known as 'Marine Fire One' and was one of two former inshore lifeboats purchased from the RNLI in 2019.

It's sister vessel is known as 'Marine Fire Two' and was originally B-780 'Patricia Jennings', based at Youghal and, latterly, Baltimore Lifeboat Stations, both in County Cork, Ireland.

Although outwardly looking the same they can be told apart.

Marine Fire One has seven mounting points for the outside grab line, Marine Fire Two only six.
