When Orchids Bloom in The Moonlight - a photo on Flickriver

The Platters, one of the all time great groups coming out of the fifties with many many of their hits still getting air time to this day. Along with a host of original songs they blended their wonderful harmonies with lead singer Tony Williams' uncompromised tenor stylings on songs that were standards from an earlier generation. The fifties music was not just the doo wop style of rock and roll, but also of groups like The Platters who's roots went back to the thirties and forties.  And surely they had to find their inspiration from earlier groups like The Mills Brothers, The Ink Spots, and The Four Vagabonds, to name a few.

The image is softer than I'd like, but the combination of 2000 ISO, a wide aperture, and hand holding with a bone on bone right shoulder has now made life a little more difficult, and to the point that I can no longer shoot in portrait mode comfortably and without pain, sucks, to put it mildly!
