Eskdale Rowan Tree Looking Towards Hard Knott, Lake District

            While staying in Eskdale in the beautiful Lake District National Park I took the dog for walk up Christ Cliff most days. Just down the track from the cottage we stayed in was this Rowan Tree. I did not realise how many images I took of it and it looked so different each time I went past. On this early evening walk the sun had gone down behind the surrounding hills but the sky was showing some beautiful colours.

Although it was only early autumn the tree is bereft of leaves due to the high winds that surge through Eskdale but was still full of red berries.
