St. Gallen 02 | Katholisches Schulhaus

            Das ehemalige katholische Schulhaus in St. Gallen ist ein Teil des UNESCO-Weltkulturerbes Stiftsbezirk. Erbaut im Jahr 1840 im Stil des Klassizismus, diente es einst der schulischen Bildung im katholischen Umfeld. Seit 1983 steht es unter dem besonderen Schutz der UNESCO. Die klare Fassadengliederung und die symmetrische Gestaltung spiegeln den architektonischen Zeitgeist des 19. Jahrhunderts wider.

The former Catholic school building in St. Gallen is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Abbey District. Built in 1840 in the Classical style, it once served as a center of Catholic education. Since 1983, it has been under the special protection of UNESCO. The clean façade structure and symmetrical design reflect the architectural spirit of the 19th century.
