Abandoned Farmstead, Wheat Stubble - a photo on Flickriver

Last of the leafless tree pics from spring. I had to park and walk a ways into last year's wheat stubble to get this shot. On the way back to the truck, I looked down and saw something in the field. Brought it home and cleaned it up and it turned out to be some sort of saint's medal. Doubtless belonged to someone who used to live at this farmstead, themselves now probably gone. The connections to these places are real, that is why I am compelled to capture these places before they vanish and no one knows these little anecdotes.
