Defunct Radar Base Near Minot, ND - a photo on Flickriver

            Nikon F5, Nikkor 24mm f2.8, orange filter, Kodak Tmax 100

Abandoned cold war-era radar base about 20 miles south of Minot, ND. The gate used to be open and you could poke around in there, but it always seemed like people were living in the old barracks buildings and a confrontation was imminent. 

I think this slightly uphill shot behind the chainlink is full of tension, and even though the light yesterday was really weird because of the seemingly ubiquitous wildfire smoke, I think this works even with the flat sky.

Tmax developer for 6 minutes at 70F.
