742 189 Nové Košariská - a photo on Flickriver

            As much a fan of Metrans' small fleet of ER20s as I am, I was surprised and delighted to catch CD Cargo Kocour pairing 742 189 and 262 waiting for the green at Nové Košariská at the head of a container train for Dunajská Streda as I passed by.

As can be seen, my enthusiasm for this enterprise was more than matched by the driver of Tomcat 189 as he got the consist underway.

Both ČKD-manufactured machines, constructed in the early 1980s, were partially reconstructed in 2011, principally to allow better forward vision.
