Santa Maria del Mar és una església gòtica de Barcelona, situada al barri de la Ribera i construïda entre 1329 i 1383. Els mestres d'obra foren Berenguer de Montagut (el dissenyador principal de l'edifici) i Ramon Despuig. Pel que fa a la part exterior, és considerada l'única gran església gòtica catalana perfectament acabada,[1] tot i que un dels campanars no s'acabà fins el segle XIX.

La Basílica de Santa María del Mar es una iglesia gótica catalana de Barcelona, situada en el barrio de la Ribera y construida entre 1329 y 1383. Los maestros de obra fueron Berenguer de Montagut (el diseñador principal del edificio) y Ramón Despuig. La iniciativa sobre la construcción de la iglesia la tuvo el canónigo Bernardo LLul.

Santa Maria del Mar (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈsantə məˈɾi.ə ðəɫ ˈmar]) is an imposing church in the Ribera district of Barcelona, Spain, built between 1329 and 1383 at the height of Catalonia's maritime and mercantile preeminence. It is an outstanding example of Catalan Gothic, with a purity and unity of style that are very unusual in large mediaeval buildings.[1]
