Svolvær..Lofoten Islands .. Norway - a photo on Flickriver

            Well the ship made it through the Lofoten wall and we docked at the attractive town of Svolvær. This would be our base for a few days and I hired a car to give us the chance to properly explore the group of Islands that comprise the Lofoten group

Svolvær is located in the Lofoten archipelago on the southern coast of the island of Austvågøya, facing the open sea of the Vestfjorden to the south, and with mountains immediately to the north. The most famous mountain, Svolværgeita, had its first recorded climb in 1910.

This shot is SOOC there seemed no reason in messing with it the mountain in the shot is Svolværgeita, which dominates the little town
