We take our orchids to a local greenhouse, Elmore's Orchids, where we pay for room and board for the plants when they are between flowerings.  Kind of like orchid spa, they get to live in perfect orchid environs when they are not at our house.  When I went down there this weekend to swap out some orchids, I brought my camera and shot a few there that were in bloom, in addition to ours.  All of those shots were made of several shots taken at different focal planes and combined in Helicon Focus in order to achieve adequate depth of field, and process called depth of field stacking.  This is one of those that were not ours, a remarkable cattleya with fringes.  This is quite close, but not true macro.
