Ella in action - on the chase - a photo on Flickriver

            Ella hunting and chasing her quarry - on this occasion, me!

The camera was set to 7fps so this triptych shows how far she travels in about half a second.

If rabbits had rear view mirrors, this is what they would see and when she is after rabbits she is even faster.

She has never caught a rabbit - she just loves the chase.

However, at 36kg if she crashes into your legs - you struggle to stay upright and sometimes I'm pretty sure she hits my  legs just for her fun.

Looking at the size of her ears - no wonder her hearing is so good - must be the hound in her.

In the middle frame it is possible to get an idea of the size of her powerful and deep 36 inch chest. Even at 9 years old her stamina is still good.
