VW Golf R - Instrument Panel / Dash - a photo on Flickriver

            Here it is at last, the new Mk6 Golf R, no R32 name any more as this has the 2 litre 4 cylinder engine, but producing 267bhp and 258lb/ft of torque.

4WD is retained using the Haldex four wheel drive system.

0-62 mph in 5.5 secs.
Top Speed limited to 155 mph.
33.2 mpg.

It sits 20mm (nearly an inch) lower than the GTI and has standard 18" wheels or optional 19" rims. Seats have cloth centres and Alcantara bolsters, or there will be a leather option.

Goes on sale in the UK in October for deliveries starting in January 2010.
