The Man from Miami......Arizona - a photo on Flickriver

            For those of you who may be followers of my Flickr Stream (thank you!!), you may have realized that I am NOT a Portrait Photographer, and, as the above image will attest,...for good reason.   I was, however, traveling with a dear friend two days ago in the greater Mesa - Globe, Arizona area.  She is an excellent photographer and has the 'gift of gab' with persons she meets on the streets.

In this instance she approached this man who was seated on the front porch, in the shade, of a somewhat dingy bar in this impoverished town.  She engaged him in conversation and learned that he is seventy-five years old, very hard of hearing, unable to remember his name at the time and was quite willing to be photographed.   As she was taking some images, I managed to squeeze off one or two myself.

This image is from my JPEG SD card as I was unable this evening to get the RAW image (XQD) card loaded onto my computer.  Sorry for the poor quality...but I wanted to go ahead and share this gentleman's image as soon as I could.   Why you may ask?......because he told us that he would like to be famous.  While I highly suspect that this image will not help him in his desire, I know that it would have been a bit more helpful if only he could have remembered his name.   .
