325e temple at Coba - a photo on Flickriver

This is the last Mayan temple of the Yucatan Peninsula that you can climb-- the rest have been closed off due to vandalism and wear and tear of visitors on the steep steps.

Note the rope that has been placed down the middle--these steps are steep and narrow--most people go up with a sort of modified crab walk to keep their balance. 140 feet in the air, you get the chance to see over the rainforest jungle once you reach the top
