The pink tram passing The Hanging Gardens of Birmingham

            Central Birmingham's a building site at the moment, which is perhaps surprising given the Brexit uncertainties. However, a lot of relocation from expensive London to other cities is going on and it is said a population bulge is forcing all kinds of change in working and living patterns. Along the neighbouring canal thousands of apartments have been built and the shops on nearby Colmore Row contain both mini Tesco's and Sainsbury's stores.You can even get a half way decent coffee  for 99p in Pret a Manger, which was full of young office workers when we were there yesterday. 

The Birmingham to Wolverhampton tram, a fetching shade of pink, has two stops here and someone has paid for real grass and hanging gardens. The trams were made in Spain, which is in itself interesting, and 3 Snow Hill really does lean like that. I would not be good enough to fake that effect in Photoshop.
