Honour your partners - a photo on Flickriver

            I had never been to a Regency Ball before, or even an ordinary Ball, and I was not here to dance anyway. My function was to take some photos of the event, and especially of Jacaranda, the recorder quartet my wife plays with, who were providing the interval entertainment. It was evening and the light was fading so I had recourse to a relatively high ISO - for Canon, anyway - and HDR. The main band on the evening is known as Cat's Whiskers, and they certainly lived up to their name.
