Old Kansas City - a photo on Flickriver

Old Kansas City

            A BNSF empty coal train and a unit grain train are seen passing through West Bottoms and the Union Depot Interlocking Tower in Kansas City. This neighborhood was once bustling with meat packing pants and stockyards and was the true heart of Kansas City. The coal train will pause and then follow the grain train across the Missouri River over the Hannibal Bridge into Murray Yard in North Kansas City.
