Another Billy

Or another of Billy! I was commenting earlier today about the use of the name Billy in response to a comment made by my friend Dave about its use as a girl's name. This was our little Billy and she or he has been on flickr before. A young Pied Butcherbird, Billy came to us in June or July and stayed around. Poor Billy had a terrible growth on its left eye, this shot is not marred by that terrible thing. He or she was quite tame and would allow us to get very close.

Sadly, Billy left us along with a couple of our special Galahs when we were away on holidays. We don't know what happened to any of them.

On another note, I have only about 20 shots left in the series of our holiday in August (although there are quite a few others I will come back to occasionally in due course) so I am just diverging today. Must be nearing time for another road trip (no way!) to sus out some more of Australia's back roads.
