25 207 Wisbech Yard - a photo on Flickriver

            Class 25s were occasional visitors to Wisbech in the 1980s. This picture was taken on the morning of Tuesday May 11th 1982 and shows 25207 resting before returning to March Whitemoor Yard.
 The locomotive was withdrawn at the end of 1984 at Bescot, its home depot and ended up in the infamous stack at Vic Berrys scrapyard in Leicester meeting its demise in 1988.
My notes state that the only other visits to Wisbech by 25s in 1982 were 25321 on 21 & 22 July, 25198 on 4 August and 25048 on 12 August.
Note the contrasting liveries of the VDA wagons, the two tone red and grey having replaced the chocolate brown version.
