Broby Chapel II

The church in Broby was built in sandstone in the 1100s. It was pulled down in 1819 in connection with Broby and Källby getting a common church. Only the porch remains and together with a wooden extension from 1876 it served as a school until 1916. After restoration in 1930 it was reconsecrated and is now used as a chapel.
In 1968 the walls of the old church were marked with stone slabs in the grass.
The chapel is a listed building (Swedish: kyrkligt kulturminne), protected by law. It is situated in Götene municipality and belongs to Källby parish in Skara diocese.
