Allready noticed on some scans that there could be a problem with Aliasing or something that looks like that. There appear a lot of dots in light parts of the image creating a grainy, almost painting like, effect.

Occurs more often with some kinds of film. In this case with Fujifilm Reala 100 which btw is sometimes described as having a "pepper and salt" appearance.

Theory goes that Aliasing will occur when Scanning with a lower resolution then that one of the Optical system.
That's why i performed a range of scans at different resolution settings. 1325, 2650 and the max. 5300ppi.
The optical resolution of the Opticfilm 120 varies from model to model as this scanner has no auto-focusing mechanism but should be somewhere between 3650 and 5000ppi.

However, the Aliasing effect seems here strongest in the 5300ppi scan. This makes me wonder if the phenomena is aliasing after all or maybe something else ?
Also the "grain" seems to vary in size between the 3 scans. This could indicate that the cause is more likely to be found in the actual filmlayer itself.
