Soviet build lens as can be used on SLR with M42 thread mount like e.g. the Zenith.

As it has an M39 to M42 adapter ring it can also be mounted on this (spareparts) Canon 7 rangefinder when that adapter ring is removed.

Not that that makes much sense as this lens has no rangefinder helicoid and an exact focus would be very hard to achieve. Also the register of the lens probably will be different as it was build for a SLR that needs more space for the mirror as compared to a rf camera.

The M39 to M42 adapter was no doubt necessary in the transit period from the Zenit SLR from M39x1mm  to M42x1 thread mount.
