Rollei 35S Not as it should be (04) - a photo on Flickriver

Not as it should be.

According to the Rollei 35S service manual the Sonnar's Name ring should be glued to the screws with 3 dots of "plastic glue P500".

Unfortunately until now I did not find out which company did produce this plastic glue P500 and how it should look and what its consistency might be but it surely would NOT be 3 strips of double sided tape (see red arrow).

This tape instead of the P500 glue might seem like a great idea but let me warn you that this Name Ring already lay half loose.  So make sure that you use something which has a long term sticking quality !

If you have no experience in camera repair please do yourself a favor and send your camera to a professional service shop. It would be a pity to lose a vintage camera in a failed repair attempt  !
