Back on the front line - a photo on Flickriver

            First Potteries' remaining Leyland Olympians haven't had bad lives given that they were delivered over 24 years ago and a handful remain in service. Most notably 30031 (G755 XRE) has actually returned to front-line use of late, being a regular on new service 25A between Hanley and Keele University it would seem. Here this veteran is seen at the end of Shelton New Road in Newcastle bound for the university. It entered service from Newcastle garage - its current home - way back in August 1989.
