UP #2010 “Boy Scouts of America”, Caliente, Tehachapi, California

            Union Pacific C45ACCTE numbered 2010 is photographed sandwiched between UP 5434 on point and UP 6289, still wearing Southern Pacific livery at Caliente before heading up the pass to the Loop. Built at the General Electric plant in Erie Pennsylvania the loco was originally numbered UP 7469 however to celebrate the Boy Scouts of America's 100th anniversary the number was changed to 2010 and new BSA graphics were applied. In Union Pacific's history it has only created 17 commemorative locomotives.
