La piazza di sera - The square in the evening

            Piazza Ducale a Vigevano, nel cuore della città, è delle più famose piazze d'Italia. 
Venne costruita per volere di Ludovico il Moro in soli due anni, tra 1492 ed il 1494 come anticamera del castello divenuto residenza ducale. 
Si presenta a pianta rettangolare di 138 metri per 46, con orientamento prevalente nord-ovest/sud-est; è racchiusa su tre lati da edifici porticati omogenei e sul quarto lato dalla facciata curvilinea della cattedrale.

Ducal Square in Vigevano (a small town in Northern Italy) is one of the most famous squares in Italy. 
It was built by Ludovico il Moro between the years 1492 and 1494 near the Castle which became his place of residence. 
The square is 138mt long and 46 mt wide; it is surrounded on three sides by colonnades and on one side by the curvilinear facade of the Cathedral.
