Villa Pallavicino

            Villa Pallavicino si trova a Stresa, sul Lago Maggiore. 
Venne costruita intorno alla metà dell’800 per Ruggero Borghi (amico di Manzoni e Rosmini), in seguito passò ai marchesi Pallavicino che ancora oggi ne detengono la proprietà. 
La principale attrattiva della Villa è il parco che la circonda: esteso su una area di circa 20 ettari, comprende numerose piante esotiche, alberi secolari, viali fioriti e un giardino botanico. 
Nel parco sono presenti inoltre più di 40 specie di animali (tra cui lama, canguri, zebre e fenicotteri) che vivono in libertà in ampi spazi naturali.

Villa Pallavicino is located in Stresa, in Northern Italy (on Maggiore Lake). 
It was built around middle of 1800 by Ruggero Borghi, who was friend of Manzoni and Rosmini. Then later it was bought by Pallavicino marquesses who till now have the property. 
The villa is surrounded by a wide park in which more than 40 different types of animals live.
