Villa Contarini, la Peschiera - Villa Contarini, the fish-pool

            Villa Contarini, a Piazzola sul Brenta (Pd), è una delle tante ville venete di campagna inizialmente destinate ad uso "agricolo" e poi con il tempo (in questo caso nella seconda metà del seicento)trasformate in eleganti residenze signorili. 
La Villa è dotata di un ampio parco, all’interno del quale si trovano anche queste vasche chiamate “Peschiere”.

Villa Contarini in the municipality of Piazzola sul Brenta (Italy) is one of the several villas in the countryside of the Veneto region. Initially it was conceived for an agrarian purpose, but in the time (in this case in the second half of XVII century) it was transformed in an elegant gentlemanly residence. 
Beyond the Villa there is a wide park, which contains inside these “pools” which are called “fish-pools”.
