Snow Bunting aka Snowflake © - a photo on Flickriver

A bird of the high Arctic. A rarity here in the mid-Atlantic state of MD. It must be the same bird that has migrated every year in the autumn/fall to the same rock jetty off the Chesapeake Bay. I've seen & photographed, most possibly the same bird for the last 4 years at about the same time every year. This particular bird is a female in her non-breeding plumage.
