DISCOVERY! A STRANGE GIANT: Dernečište (2238 m), the highest point of Ljubišnja. Telephoto from Pitomine, DURMITOR NATIONAL PARK.

            ЉУБИШЊА СА ПИТОМИНА
Дернечиште (2238 m) је највиши врх Љубишње. Сасвим лево изнад шуме вири вршак Мале Љубишње (2073 m).  Љубишња је највиша планина у целом делу Европе од Карпата до Дурмитора.

► █░▓    Gentle, pastel soft-hued colors of Dernečište (2238 m, up left) seen from Pitomine (1500 m) above Žabljak, Durmitor. Dernečište is the highest point of Ljubišnja. Left above the trees barely protruding Mala Ljubišnja (2073 m).
The whole mountain dominates a considerable out-of-the-way area between Serbia, Republika Srpska and Montenegro. It lies aside the roads and places of any normally passable order. That doesn't promote locals' affluence but neither brings pollution or commerce, nor tourism or greed, and does earn Ljubišnja outstanding ecological status and natural qualities. 
LOOKING OVER UP NORTH brings us to a kind of discovery. THIS is the highest mountain in the vast European section in-between Carpathian Arch: from Gerlach (2655 m in High Tatras, Outer Carpathians) and Peleaga (2509 m in Transylvania, Southern Carpathians) - all the way down across Pannonian Basin to Durmitor, to which the smaller neighbour Ljubišnja lost the fame. Effectively, Ljubišnja is the highest ground from Zakopane and Štrbské Pleso to Durmitor (675 km as the crow flies!), the latter directly overlooking Dubrovnik and Kotor at the Adriatic.
NOTE: between the forest in the foreground, and this significant mountain, over a distance of mere 16 km as the crow flies, lies the enormous sheer drop of Tara's gorge at its' deepest - 1100 m altitude from the upper edge down to the river surface.

Panasonic DMC-G80 with Olympus 40-150mm f/4-5.6 lens at about half throw, with a circular polarizing filter. I am curious as to how much sharper this image would have been taken with the acclaimed Olympus 75 mm f/1.8 prime? 
In my experience my 40-150 mm f/4-5.6 zoom is at its sharpest at f/7.1 or f/8.
