Clouds Above Bribir at Sunset - a photo on Flickriver

► █░▓    Sun sets fast behind Bribirska Glavica, the two ancient church towers distinguishable from the 2,1 km distance as the crow flies. Some clouds got the sun's last rays while the above cloud layer doesn't. After a few seconds these clouds dispersed and after a few minutes the skies were completely clear and the whole play over.

I was not feeling well, just went out to check the sunset, and this scene surprised me. I forgot to set the highs / lows at -5 / +5 respectively, so the setting left in camera was -1 / +1. This scene is one out of the 9 quickly taken shots in several focal lengths with a zoom lens. Interestingly enough the 'nifty fifty' 25mm (50mm in full frame) seemed to work the best – I only found out later. Never underestimate your nifty fifty!
