Denkend aan Holland... (LAST JANUARY SUN)

ꒌ   МЕРВЕДЕ, ГЛАВНИ КРАК РАЈНЕ — Када Рајна из Немачке уђе у Холандију, разграна се у делту која чини већи, насељенији део ове земље. Највећи крак у делти Рајне у Холандији, Ваал (Waal), кроз који протиче две трећине укупне водене масе Рајне, као и све друге реке повезан је сложеним системом канала са другим крацима и рекама. Овај систем има и своју историјску позадину. Зато не чуди што је једна те иста река на појединим својим деоницама добила различите називе. Тако Рајна више није Рајна него Ваал (Waal), а онда Ваал постаје Горња Мерведе (Boven Merwede). UNIBARGE баржа Portland из Горње Мерведе ускоро ће упловити у Доњу Мерведе (Beneden Merwede), чим промине поред светала са десне стране која припадају селу Горњи Хардинсфелд (Boven Hardinxveld).

► ▓░█    THE FAMOUS POEM "Denkend aan Holland" gets reflected here in my first sharp picture on the river with the newly acquired very old lens Lumix 12-35mm f/2.8. I fitted it on my good'ol' G9 for this occasion. In spite of its age and a strangely stiff zoom ring, this lens performs remarkably well - sharp, with nice colours, and the AF is reasonably fast. One property I have noticed with the quality MFT zooms like Olympus 12-40mm f/2.8 or this one, is its homogeneous character at all focal lengths.

A failure here lies in post production. I applied Haze Removal filter in Affinity, which does some small wonders with distant objects like clouds, horizon etc, but inevitable changes the sky colour. So was this taken a few minutes before the sunset, but the filter has "restored" the color of a midday sky. Not a success. 

Also, there are some artefacts on the water surface to which I have no idea where they come from. They look like droplets, or the clouds of flies, but I don't remember those. This is the last January sun. It burned the sensor deeply so there's no highlight restoration.
