Oyster Catcher Challenge ! 🐧 - a photo on Flickriver

            ► █░▓  ≈≈≈≈≈≈≈  🐦 Seagulls are uninspired, but the ever-inquisitive oyster catcher takes up the challenge of the speed boat and performs a cool low pass...

From the left shore of the Boven Merwede at Sleeuwijk, North Brabant. While waiting for a "decisive moment" I remember the oyster catcher suddenly appearing and assuming this position right above the boat for a few seconds.

Lumix G90 / Lumix 12-35 mm f2.8. —At 35mm (70mm full frame equivalent) and f4,5 aperture priority. Shutter speed of 1/1300 sec. This is a sooc jpeg edited in Apple Photos 10.0, exported as 16-bit tiff. I really like this zoom lens, even if it's not quite as sharp at wide angles as in normal to light telephoto range. But the colors are consistently beautiful. This a worn out, much used copy, first version.
