Flickriver

            This is a view of the upper Twin Lake in the Mammoth Lakes area.  This was my first visit of the area and I was surprised at how many lakes were here.  Once you get past the town of Mammoth and get a little higher in the mountain there is a series of lakes.  There is another flat area above the waterfall with more lakes.

Quite a few of the lakes are accessible by car and there are also trail heads that will lead you to even more.  This area is really developed because of the ski resort and I can imagine that there will be a lot of people vacationing here during the summer.  Even saying that, this is a really scenic area to visit.
