Mini Cadillac Ranch, Cisco, UT (In Explore)

            If you've followed me for a while, you know that I like to explore out of the way locations.  This was taken in Cisco, UT which for the most part is a ghost town.  Eileen Muza bought the property in 2015 with the idea of living here and turning it into an artist residency.  This location is like a mini Slab City in California.  

This Cadillac is one of the art projects that can be seen in the town.  Instead of layers of paint on the Cadillac like you would see in Texas, the dashboard is covered in stickers from all over.  There is a small store, the Buzzards Belly, that you can visit to help support the community.  I bought a t-shirt and an ice cream when I was here.  I like wearing t-shirts from places like this that are a conversation starter.  

The town is located off Highway 128 out of Moab or can be reached from Interstate 70.  The drive to here from Moab follows the Colorado River and is a really scenic drive.  After driving to Cisco, I continued onto Thompson Spring where there are pictographs in good condition a couple miles outside of the town.  It was a fun mini-road trip that took me away from the tourists for a day.
