66 114 on the Harbour branch at Falkland Yard.

            66 114 is seen at the protecting signal for Ayr Harbour Junction on the short single track line that links Falkland Yard with Ayr Harbour. The train is the previous nights 4R10 20.00 ex Longannet Power Station to Falkland Yard. It would normally make 6R72 06.22 to Greenburn mine but on this date had been cancelled as 4S78 23.54 Milford-Greenburn & 6E99 09.56 Greenburn-Cottam was running instead. The reason its stood on the harbour branch is due to the fact its a 23 wagon set of HTA's and too long to run round in Falkland Yard West Sidings where the rear end is. Points damage on the quayside at Ayr Harbour had precluded the train going any further until the track had been fixed so here it sat unable to go either way.
