            One of the 'annual' editions of booklets issued by the LNER to drum up trade for their extensive shipping interests - aimed at the western Continent destinations such as Belgium, Holland, Germany and the Baltic states which were somewhat their preserve, leaving the Southern to the French routes. 

This, the 1932 edition, has a rather fine cover using three colours, including the green card, to good effect and the artworkis by Helen McKie whose charming line drawings are used throughout the booklet. McKie was an artist much used by the Southern Railway. As well as descriptions the booklet has a sketch map of the Netherlands railway system as well as a time table of services from Harwich (Parkeston Quay) to Hook of Holland (night sailing) and Flushing/Vlissingen by day.
