            A fine six page booklet issued in 1929 where the Southern Railway allow their Moderne feelings to go wild! In the 1930s the company was to craft a more contemporary look for much of their publicity, especially for their Southern Electric services where they were keen to exploit a feeling of modern technology, clean electric trains and new suburban living. This brochure, sadly unattributed, real does have a feel of say the London & North Eastern Railway's contemporary publicity material; the illustrations very much in poster style and here with a 'jazzy' typeface in the titling.

As well as the South Coast resorts served by the company's trains the booklet gives details of Continental holidays using the extensive cross-Channel ferries and steamer services that they also helped operate. Produced by the Southern's Advertising and Publicity section it was printed by Adams Bros. & Shardlow of London.
